Rates change, and states revise their schedules, sometimes on the 1 July indexation and sometimes off-cycle. We work to keep every figure current and stamped, but the rate in force when you transact is the one that counts. Before registering, transferring, buying or paying anything, confirm the figure with the relevant road or revenue authority.

Our calculators produce estimates. They apply the published schedule to the inputs you enter, so a result is only ever as accurate as those inputs and reflects the standard case. It may not capture every concession, surcharge or exemption that applies to your specific vehicle or circumstances. Treat the output as a guide, not a quote.

Information about demerit points and fines is exactly that, information, not legal advice. Penalties, thresholds and their consequences vary by state and by the circumstances of an offence.
